FIRST ON WITN: Hit and Run Victim Calls For Help

A hit and run investigation is underway in one city in the east.

Pitt County Dispatchers confirmed a man walking down North Waverly street in Farmville was struck by a vehicle.

According to dispatchers, the victim says the driver of the car--just kept going. It happened around 1:30am Friday morning.

Dispatchers tell WITN, the victim actually called for help and rescue crews checked him out at the scene for minor injuries.

Farmville Police tells us they are investigating.

    I think "Hit and Run" should on be claimed only if the hit claimant is a pedestrian is on the sidewalk, not a jaywalker on the street!
