Residents in Jacksonville will be able to get some help from FEMA on proper ways to rebuild their homes.
Starting Thursday, FEMA mitigation advisers will be on hand at the Home Depot in Jacksonville to provide residents with free rebuilding information and answer questions about how to strengthen their property.
Some mitigation techniques residents can get information on include reducing mold and mildew, protecting electrical systems, reinforcing structures against high winds and floods, and securing important personal property. Information on flood insurance is also available.
FEMA mitigation advisers will be at the Home Depot on Western Boulevard starting Thursday at 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. through Monday, May 16th. On Tuesday, May 17, they will be available from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
