A FEMA disaster recovery center is now open in Jacksonville and now tornado victims can either file or check on their applications with representatives face to face.
The center opened up on Thursday on Hargett Street and officials there admit its been slow because they just opened up. They are expecting more people in the coming days.
Friday FEMA representatives were walking door to door checking up on residents and letting them know about the new center.
The FEMA center is open seven days a week from 8 am to 7 pm.
