Extended Appliance Rebates

This holiday season shoppers may want to add an appliance to their list because the state has extended rebates on some appliances with certain conditions.

It’s called the NC Energy Efficient Applicance Replacement and Rebate Program. Over $653,000 dollars in rebates are up for grabs for certain items.

The only catch is that people must be replacing an existing appliance in their home with an energy star efficient one.

For some items you can get up to $300 dollars in rebates.

Thanks WITN for running this story again! I replaced a qualified appliance (gas storage water heater) about a month ago and didn't realize it qualified for a rebate. Thanks also to those that clarified the link.

Actually, on the website, it does not list dryers as an approved appliance, as the article states.
