Eastern Carolinians Credited With Helping To Save Tourists In Plane Crash

Three people from Eastern Carolina are being credited with helping to save three tourists after their plane crashed in Honduras.

Michael and Ranie Best and Timmy Evans from Kenansville in Duplin County were on a boat off Roatan in Honduras when a seaplane with a Texas family aboard crashed.

The three from Kenansville, along with people on another boat, pulled the family out of the water.

The entire family from Texas spent days in a Honduran hospital before returning home to Texas.

Evans commented on his Facebook page, "So glad all are OK. I was on the parasail boat along with Michael and Ranie Best."

To: EZU alum Anytime there is a hometown hero it is news. Bet it would have been "real" news if it had been your family they saved.

WITN, is there really no "real" news to report? No wonder why ENC is full of people that know nothing about the world outside of I95 and the coast.

You never use apostrophes to make a plural. You'd think at least a few people working in the field of journalism would know that. Someone needs to get removed from the editorial staff while they take some remedial classes. Glad the story has a happy ending.

Anon, with your expertise in journalism, one would assume you would make your sentences sound more professional! "get removed"....... Love your English!!! I'm sure you learned that in Honors English!

I would say this is a fail for you. Revise what you wrote before you say something about someone else's work.
