Communities across Eastern Carolina are pausing today to salute those who have defending our country.
Numerous Veterans Day ceremonies are being held today.
In Greenville, a downtown parade this morning honored veterans, followed by a ceremony on the Town Common. In Jacksonville the Disabled American Veterans are also conducting a ceremony.
Wayne County dedicated a new memorial, while in Winterville a ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. in front of the police station.
Many other communities are also hold parades and services honoring those who have served.
