Eastern Carolina's Christmas Forecast

If Santa is worried about entering and exiting rain soddened chimneys, he shouldn't be too worried about delivering presents in eastern Carolina. There is a very slight chance a few spot showers will dot the Doppler image Monday night, but Rudolph and Co. should be able to navigate Kris Kringle's sleigh around the falling drops, keeping our presents nice and dry.

Our Christmas Eve low temperature of 41° may be a little warmer than what the reindeer are used to, but a light southwesterly wind should help keep them cool.

Christmas Day will be rainless and mild, with a high of 59° in the forecast. These conditions are ideal for opening presents and traveling to family get-togethers.

While a white Christmas is what many wish for, our Christmas weather shouldn't be taken for granted.
