Nearly a dozen people were camped outside the Verizon store overnight, waiting to buy the newest iPhone.
While the Verizon store along Greenville Boulevard does not open until 8 a.m., some Apple enthusiasts were lined up since 11:30 Thursday night waiting for their chance to grab an iPhone 5S or 5C.
"The fingerprint technology is going to be a new way to unlock your phone, and also to just confirm different things on your phone," said Luis Cameron. "It's better security for your phone versus a pass code lock."
Nationwide, lines are out the locked doors at cell phone provider and Apple stores.
Apple sold a record five million smartphones during last year's iPhone debut.
