East Carolina University professor, Nobuaki Takahashi, continues to check websites for news out of Japan. Both of his parents and 2 siblings are still there, although they were miles away from the epicenter of the earthquake and tsunami. With his family living just 100 miles away from the nuclear plant site, the radiation is now the biggest threat .
"One hundred miles is not that far and even they say, the government, the Tokyo electricity company says its fine, seriously, how fine?" said Takahashi.
Takahashi hopes his family will move to the western part of the Japan or even consider moving to the states to escape the uncertain dangers still lingering there.
