Bond Reduced For ECU Employee In Teen Sex Case

A judge lowered the bond for an ECU employee, accused of sex offenses involving teen girls.

Lawmen arrested Jennifer Levine, 32, for allegedly committing sex offenses with young girls. The Pitt County Sheriff's Office also received reports Levine gave the teenagers alcohol while at her home.

During a hearing Wednesday afternoon, a judge lowered Levine's bond from$500,000 to $250,000 secured.

Levine has worked at ECU since February 2008. She is an administrative support associate in the School of Social Work.

Deputies say two of the victims babysat for the woman. Chief James Tripp says one victim is 16, while the other three are 15-years-old. Tripp says the offenses happened October 23th and a parent reported it to authorities a week later.

At this point Levine remains jailed and her next court date is January 13th.
