ECU Bowl Tickets Selling Well

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Less than 700 tickets remain available from East Carolina's allotment of 10,000 for the Military Bowl, which is set to be played Dec. 29 at RFK Stadium in Washington.

As of 5 p.m. Friday, ECU climbed past the 9,300-ticket mark with 12 days remaining before kickoff.

Tickets in the Pirates' section for the Military Bowl are available by calling the ECU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) DIAL-ECU (342-5328) or going online at While online purchases can be made 24 hours a day, the ticket office will observe regular working hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday (Dec. 20), Tuesday (Dec. 21) and the following Monday (Dec. 27). Pregame tailgate passes, which are priced at $20 each, will continue to be on sale through ECU until Dec. 21.

East Carolina fans unable to attend the game are reminded they can still buy tickets that can be donated to local and regional military bases. For more information or to donate directly, fans can call the athletics ticket office or visit ECU's official athletics website.

The Pirates (6-6, 5-3 C-USA) will be making an unprecedented fifth-straight bowl appearance, their seventh since 2000 and 17th overall in program history when they visit the nation's capital. The Terps (8-4, 5-3 ACC) are returning to bowl action after a one-year absence that followed three consecutive trips.

    several pirates are grabbing the pieces of treasure...dude you are 6 and 6 getting ready to be 6 and 7 and you call it treasure? it doesnt take much to make ECU fans happy. I mean you build a crooked stadium that looks like it was built from an erector set and you guys think its Notre Dame stadium or the big house in Michigan.
