ECU - UNC Football Game Sold Out

GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina's home football game against Atlantic Coast Conference member North Carolina, scheduled for Oct. 1, is officially sold out according to an announcement from the ECU Athletic Ticket Office. All available general public tickets for the Tar Heels' visit to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium were purchased as of Tuesday afternoon.

The game will kickoff at 8:00 p.m. and be broadcast nationally on the CBS Sports Network.

The sellout marks the fifth for East Carolina since a 7,000-seat expansion project was completed in 2010 to push Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium's capacity to 50,000. Currently, the Pirates lead Conference USA and all non-automatic qualifying BCS conference members in average attendance (49,404). This follows school record-setting figures in total (297,987) and average attendance (49,665) during Ruffin McNeill's first campaign as ECU's head coach last fall.

Less than 1,000 tickets remain for Saturday's Conference USA opener against UAB. Tickets, which are priced at $40 for adults and $25 for youth age 3-12, are still available for Tulane (Oct. 29/Homecoming), Southern Miss (Nov. 5/Military Appreciation Weekend) and UCF (Nov. 19/Senior Day).

Look, this is a win/win situation for the Pirates. Whatever UNCheat does makes no difference. They are cheating and any wins will not count anyway by the time the NCAA is finished with them.

It means UNC fans get their gear cheaply to match their fanhood and connection with said university, and then they want to start arguments and attack actual alumni of other universities as if they are qualified to speak on behalf of UNC.

LOok at this Sold Out Game.About 50,000 tickets sold. This is big money folks.ACC Should put aside the stupid thoughts about being better than ECU. ECU would put sell a lot of tickets when playing ACC teams. Purt ECU in ACC & it will sell tickets.. Example: NC State Vs South Alabama or liberty @ Carter Finley probably dod not sell out. ECU VS State would Sell out every time. It is all about money. ACC Is scared ECU would beat them too often .Resuld being No ACC For ECU:

so you are saying the ACC was not scared of Fla State, Va Tech, Miami, Boston College, Pitt or Syracuse but they are scared of ECU??? Dream on and enjoy your fantasy world. Your comment means as much sense as a football bat does...

Yes they are scared for a NC team to be better then them. Speaking off Va Tech, they were a no-body until they got into a bcs conference and now look at them. UNC and State knows the same thing would happen to ECU, and YES that scares them to death.

Dude i was at the ECU-N-UNC game last year and anyone who was trouble did not play. ECU could only hang in the first half. Thats without the NFL bound players that was in trouble. Im not sure if they would be a .500 team.

Chuck, please get your facts straight before taking shots at NCSU. Both the Liberty and South Alabama game were sold out! At State, it doesn't matter if the opponent is UNC or Liberty, Carter Finley will be sold out and rocking.
