A dance marathon at East Carolina University Saturday aims to raise at least $10,000 for local Children's Miracle Network hospitals. Dance Marathon is the actual name of the group organizing the event. It's a national philanthropic organization that raises money for CMN, and at ECU is student ran underneath the greek umbrella of organizations.
Dancers, many of them ECU students, will stay on their feet and dance 11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m Saturday for the fundraiser at Harvey Hall inside the Murphy Center on campus.
This year's theme is "What A Child Wouldn't Do For One More Day At The Circus!"
Admission is $5 for access to dancing, games, and prizes. 180 people have signed up for the dance marathon.
