Drugs, Guns Seized In Raid Of Elderly Man's Tyrrell County Home

Drugs and multiple guns were seized by deputies after a search Thursday of a home.

Rudolph Collins of Columbia has been charged with felony possession of schedule VI controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule VI controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substance, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Tyrrell County Sheriff Darryl Liverman says during a search of Collins' home they found marijuana, pills, eight firearms including handguns, shotguns and rifles, as well as drug paraphernalia.

The 76-year-old man was jailed on a $20,500 secured bond.
