Saturday morning Jacksonville Police invited WITN to a physical culmination of a year long investigation. 28 people were arrested in the drug roundup.
"Operation Pipe Hitters" targeted mid-level and street drug dealers and users.
Officers say the first arrest of the day was at 6:15 a.m. and three were in custody by 6:30 a.m.
By 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon, police said 23 suspects were in custody. Six were federal indictments. There was a total of 99 felony charges and 6 misdemeanor charges.
