Drivers Who Ventured Out Found Tough Travel

People who took to the highways Sunday found out just how treacherous the snow made things.

We spotted numerous cars spinning their wheels in the snow. Many drivers had to take precautions such as driving extremely slow.

In Pitt County the Department of Transportation had several crews out to try and clear the streets.

Kelvin Wiggins had to drive to work and said it was tough.
"Sometimes I believe the drivers here in Pitt County tend to test their driving skills. In the inclement weather they tend to speed up than to be more cautious of what they are."

Highway Patrol also reminds drivers to reduce speed on the roads.

This may not be the location to post this, but here goes. What's wrong with the doctors offices in Washington? Had an 8:30 appointment and was on time; the office was locked and no one in sight.

Pitt county drivers can't drive regardless of what the weather is. I think businesses should of been closed and it should of been mandatory that everyone stay off the roads.
