There's a new way to beat the heat in the Greenville.
The "Sprayground," as its known, opened Monday as part of Greenville's new "Dream Park."
The firefighter themed water park features hoses, water jets, fountains and a slide.
This theme was chosen since the "Sprayground" is beside one of Greenville's first fire stations and is close to the historic Minges drill tower, a 60-foot tower firefighters used for training for decades.
The "Dream Park" also features brand new traditional and nature-themed playgrounds as well as covered picnic areas and grills for cooking out.
The West Greenville park is located on Chestnut Street right next to the community shelter.
