Deputy Injured In Patrol Car Wreck

A Pasquotank County Sheriff's Office deputy was injured in a wreck in his patrol car Thursday night, according to multiple media reports.

Reports say Deputy Christopher Puhac was on his way to an emergency call when he lost control in a curve on Main St. Extension, near Berea Church Rd., which is northwest of Elizabeth City. The wreck happened around 7 p.m. The deputy was reportedly airlifted to the hospital in Norfolk and was alert and talking.
