People who had property damaged in the flood as a result of severe storms and flooding from tropical storm Nicole are running out of time to apply for disaster help.
Homeowners, renters and business owners in the 14 North Carolina counties that suffered losses in the early October flooding have until December 13th to register for Federal Emergency Management Agency assistance or to apply for a U.S. Small Business Administration disaster loan. State Emergency Management Director Doug Hoell says 4,500 people have registered so far.
