The deadline for North Carolinians to register for federal disaster assistance for the April 16 storms and tornadoes is here.
Homeowners, renters and business owners in 20 counties have until Tuesday to register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, as well as for disaster loan applications from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
SBA loans are available for homeowners and renters, as well as nonprofit organizations and businesses of all sizes.
The original June 20 deadline was extended at the request of North Carolina Emergency Management officials.
Residents of Alamance, Bertie, Bladen, Craven, Cumberland, Currituck, Greene, Halifax, Harnett, Hertford, Hoke, Johnston, Lee, Onslow, Pitt, Robeson, Sampson, Tyrrell, Wake and Wilson are eligible.
