A month long investigation lands two men behind bars charged with drug trafficking in Pitt County.
Officers with the Pitt County Sheriff's Office Narcotics unit along with members of the Greenville Regional Drug Task Force received information that two men would be in possession of heroin while traveling on US 264.
On Friday the two were stopped and officers found approximately 60 grams of heroin in the vehicle.
46-year-old Drew Parker of Greenville is charged with 14 counts of trafficking heroin, 3 counts of conspiracy to traffic heroin, and 2 counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin. He is in jail under a $2 million dollar bond.
35-year-old Anthony Harris of Greenville is charged with 8 counts of trafficking heroin and 3 counts of conspiracy to traffic heroin. He is also in jail under a $2 million dollar bond.
