DEPUTIES: Three Teens Used Sawed-Off Shotgun In Robbery

Three teenagers, including a 14-year-old boy, have been charged with holding up a couple outside of Grifton Wednesday evening.

Lenoir County deputies say Alvin Pratt, Jr. and Kendall Forbes, both with are 17-years-old, are charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault by pointing a gun, and felony and misdemeanor conspiracy. The 14-year-old juvenile was also arrested and placed into secure custody at the juvenile detention center in Greenville.

Deputies say a 19-year-old man and his girlfriend stopped at the intersection of Saw Mill Road and Braxton Road around 5:50 p.m. and were approached by three people. One pointed a sawed-off shotgun at the couple and demanded money. The victims said they threw money out the window toward the robbers and drove off.

One of the suspects was found thanks to the victim's description, while the others were found after a search of a nearby home.

Forbes and Pratt were jailed on $201,000 bonds.

I agree, they did not go up to the right vehicle. But once they are shot their mothers will be on TV with the NAACP crying they were shot for no reason. Maybe parents need to be charged for the same incident as their THUG children if they are under 18. Maybe then they will realize it is partly your fault because your lack of parenting. And the 14 year old deserves same charge as other 2. He knew what he was doing.

Sagging pants, taxpayers being bullied by these thugs, I agree let them sit for a long time not to think about what they have done because clearly we can see they don't have BRAINS!

Where is the mother of these thugs? She should be on trial along with them. This seems to be a result of poor management to allow these people to live in the community and we the taxpayers have to live in fear from these Section Eight Abusers!
