Deputies in Duplin County said they are investigating a possible meth lab explosion from overnight.
A sergeant with the Duplin County Sheriff's Office said investigators were called to the area of Tapp Farm Road and Sand Ridge Road in the Pink Hill area Sunday night.
Deputies said the explosion may have been linked to a possible meth lab in the area.
One person was reportedly taken to the Chapel Hill Burn Center with second degree burns.
Deputies said there was a road block in the area of Sand Ridge and Tapp Farm roads during the course of the overnight investigation.
Deputies said further information would not be available until Tuesday.
