Currituck County 911 Problems

Currituck County says their 911 center is experiencing technical difficulties with calls from the Knotts Island area.

Randall Edwards, Currituck County Public Information Officer, says citizens of Knotts Island can call the Knotts Island Volunteer Fire Department at 252-429-3536 if they are unable to connect to the 911 center.

Verizon officials are working to correct the problem.
