NC Highway Patrol says a teen pushing a dirt bike along the road in Craven County was struck and killed Thursday night.
It happened just before 7:00 p.m.
Troopers say a Hyundai SUV was traveling North on Honolulu Road and hit 19-year-old William Rivera who was pushing a dirt bike heading South in the Northbound lane.
Rivera died on the scene.
No one else was injured.
Troopers say this particular stretch of roadway is very dark.
The investigation is ongoing and there are no charges at this time.

Crews are responding to what is believed to be a serious accident in Craven County.
NC Highway Patrol tells us the accident happened just before 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Honolulu and Harris in Craven County.
