There is new information on a woman stabbed Monday night in Craven County.
Deputies tell us Carl King has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and motor vehicle theft. King's bond was later revoked after court officials found out he failed to appear on a previous charge.
They say the victim was his girlfriend, Clarissa McDaniels. Deputies say the two were in her car last night and they got into an argument. While McDaniels was driving, deputies say King began stabbing her. She was able to get out of her car at their home on Lilliana Court. At that point, deputies say King took off with the car.
He was arrested in New Bern about an hour later. McDaniels was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center.
This morning a judge set King's bond at $250,000 with conditions that he has no contact with the victim, along with not having any weapons or alcohol. But that became a moot point when it was learned King failed to appear in superior court in February for possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine. A superior judge revoked his bond.
