A northeasterly flow will bring some clouds into eastern Carolina on Wednesday. Some Outer Banks communities may see a brief shower but most areas will remain dry under partly cloudy skies. Afternoon highs will stay cool with middle 50s expected along with a chilly northeast breeze.
Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the low to mid 40s. A light northeast breeze will blow.
Milder air will slowly return Thursday through Saturday with highs in the 60s. A few showers will likely develop on Saturday ahead of a cold front that will move offshore at night. Drier and much colder air will return for Sunday and early next week.
