Construction workers building the addition to the children's hospital in Greenville used their cranes Monday to make a special delivery of toys for the kids currently in the hospital.
With their large crane, T.A. Loving Construction dropped three huge bags of toys to the hospital's little patients. Many of the children being treated there are too sick to even get out bed, but are motivated by the big trucks and the big cranes outside their windows to get up and watch, everyday. Because of that, workers decided to provide toys to the children inside. Parents say their presence is just a great as the gifts they provided.
The job site is located directly across from the 2nd floor of the pediatric intensive care unit and the reason they lit up the crane and placed a lighted tree on the top of the unfinished elevator, so kids can look out their window and see Christmas lights.
