Colder Air To Invade Eastern North Carolina

cold 200x120

A strong cold front will push rapidly through eastern North Carolina early Friday ushering in much colder air for late Friday and the weekend. The colder air may be preceded by a few light showers but any rainfall will remain light. Temperatures will struggle into the middle to upper 40s Friday and upper 30s to lower 40s over the weekend. Overnight lows will dip into the lower 20s both Saturday and Sunday mornings. A storm system well off the North Carolina coast will bring some light precipitation to coastal locations Saturday.

I think that WITN went to extremes with that photo. Then again, we are in NC where the locals think anything below 65 is cold.

I still remember that brutally hot Summer we had in 2010. Old Man Winter can stay as LONG as he wants, fine by me.
