Coast Guard Rescues Sick Man From Boat Off Hatteras Inlet

The Coast Guard rescued a sick man off a boat about 22 miles off Hatteras Inlet Monday.

The Coast Guard got a call just before 11 a.m. that a 74-year-old man aboard the "Little Clam" was showing signs of medical distress.

A 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew from Station Hatteras Inlet brought the man back to the Coast Guard station and transferred him to waiting emergency medical services for transport to the Outer Banks Hospital.
