The Coast Guard says that it has rescued a man who suffered a heart attack on a cruise ship off our state’s coast.
It happened about 150 miles east of Cape Lookout on the 952-foot Carnival Splendor, Saturday night around 8p.m.

The man was hoisted along with a nurse into the helicopter where they were ultimately taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
The patient is said to be in stable condition.
