The U.S. Coast Guard rescued five people off the Crystal Coast this afternoon after their boat began taking on water.
The Coast Guard says they got the call around 2:00 p.m. about a 22-foot cabin cruiser stranded at the point in Emerald Isle.
They sent two boats out, and discovered the boat's anchor line was wrapped around the propeller shaft. Some 150 gallons of water got inside the boat.
The Coast Guard was able to tow the boat to safe waters and there were no injuries.
A small craft advisory was out for boaters at the time of the rescue.
