A charter bus carrying 50 children and adults on a ferry got stuck, causing delays to one route in the east.
According to ferry workers, the coach bus was one of six headed to Camp Donlee on the Minnosott Beach-Cherry Branch Ferry. Only two of the big buses can get on the ferry at a time and one of them got caught between the platform and the ferry.
A tow truck had to be brought in to help lift up the bus and the ferry became operational again shortly after noon.
As for the 50 people on the bus, they got to Minnesott Beach on a different ferry so they could catch up with their group.
The D.O.T. says the bus had an air ride suspension failure, and while that's safe for road travel, it caused the bus to become too low to the ground and become stuck on the ramp.
