A strong cold front will push through eastern North Carolina early Friday ushering in a big change in the weather pattern. There will be a few thunderstorms as the front passes through the area overnight. Mostly cloudy skies and much cooler air will arrive on Friday with some isolated showers. Rain will be on the increase Friday night into Saturday as moisture overrides the cool dome of air. Highs will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s Friday then middle to upper 60s Saturday. The rain should gradually taper off Saturday night into Sunday with slowly warming temperatures into next week.
