A cold front will pass through eastern North Carolina early Saturday shifting winds to the north and allowing cooler air to move into the area. Highs on Saturday afternoon will struggle through the 60s much of the day. Some Outer Banks communities may see highs no higher than 60 degrees. Skies will be mostly cloudy through the day although some sunshine may peak through the clouds during the afternoon. The front will dissipate by Sunday allowing much warmer air to arrive. We should see afternoon highs close to 80 degrees Sunday afternoon.
