Some people in Craven County were working hard to clean up, while others were working hard to have fun in the aftermath of all the snow.
Seven-year-old Hana Smith says there isn't enough snow in New Bern. "I think it's really cool that we have so much snow but it's a little sad because I wanted to make an igloo but we didn't have enough snow."
The Highway 70 overpass was full again with sled riders. Parents and kids tell us it's the best hill in town. Five-Year-old Elle Smith says, "It's really awesome and I really like it to be out here having fun and doing all this stuff."
But the winter weather isn't fun for everyone. Retailers are seeing a drop in after Christmas sales. And Lowe's in New Bern is having to turn some customers away who are looking to clean up the snow because they're out of some shovels and ice melt.
Public works crews were also busy cleaning up the streets of New Bern, hauling away excess snow in dump trucks.
