Another Washington employee is accused of embezzling from the city.
Stephen Rose is charged with felony larceny by employee and felony obtaining property by false pretense. Court records say the 33-year-old Rose is accused of embezzling copper wire from the city.
City officials say Rose is an engineering technician with the electric department. He's been with the city since October 2007.
Washington police say he was arrested Thursday and while additional charges may result, no other city employees are believed to be involved. Rose has been released on $5,000 bond.
In November of 2009, an inventory control assistant was also accused of embezzling city property.
