Camp Lejeune Marine Latest Afghan Casualty

A Camp Lejeune Marine was killed in fighting Saturday during combat operations in Afghanistan.

Corporal Lucas Pyeatt was a member of 2nd Radio Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group at Camp Lejeune.

The Pentagon says the 24-year-old from West Chester, Ohio died in the Helmand province.

    I am also a former 2nd Radio Bn Marine and send my deepest sympathies for this tragic loss. I too am working in Afghanistan right now but as a civilian and know the dangers of this environment all too well.

    Prayers for the family and friends of Corporal Lucas Pyeatt. I do wish our government would bring our troops home before anymore are lost. Enough is enough.
