Greenville police say they need help in solving a strong-arm robbery that happened nearly a month ago near the federal courthouse.
Police today released surveillance video today from the September 17th robbery. The victim was walking near the intersection of 3rd and Evans streets around 2:30 a.m. when he was approached by a white or cream colored four-door vehicle. It's believed to be a Buick Roadmaster or a similar large sedan.
Three people inside got out and attacked the man, taking his wallet. The robbers then took off, turning north onto Greene Street.
Police say it appears the vehicle has a trim or molding missing around the lower portion of the vehicle. It also has a dark vinyl section covering the rear quarter of the vehicle's roof.
Anyone with information on the robbery should call the Greenville Police Department at 252-329-3937 or Pitt/Greenville Crimestoppers at 252-758-7777.
