CAUGHT ON CAMERA: 2500 Gallons Of Weed Killer Spills

Thousands of gallons of weed killer spilled out after deputies say someone drilled a hole in a stainless steel container at a business.

Wayne County deputies are searching for the man who vandalized a facility owned by Crop Production Services on Tuesday. They say he drilled the hole in a 4500 gallon container, spilling 2500 gallons of Roundup Weed Killer. He also tried to steal two tarps from the business.

Damage to the business is approximately $60,000.

Deputies released a surveillance photo of the man, hoping someone might recognize him. You can call the Wayne County Sheriff's Office at 919-731-1497 or callers can remain anonymous by through Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255.

    I bet he thought the tank contained anhydrous ammonia which is used for Meth production. Hope law enforcement checks out the local meth heads.

    Wow, but now they won't have to pay to have the grass mowed for awhile. Wonder if the guy new just how much damaged he caused,that's a lot of money and chemicals in one spot. He must have been a pretty PO'd guy. Sad thing is nowdays it could be anyone who had any problems from weedkillers.

    Maybe he paid to have his weeds killed and they came back. That was a terrible act of vandalism.
