"Celebration Of Life" Service For Business Leader Felix Harvey

A well-known and by many, well loved, businessman and philanthropist will be laid to rest Monday.

Felix Harvey of Kinston died last week at the age of 93.

Harvey was instrumental to bringing the Global Transpark to Kinston and was inducted into the North Carolina Business Hall of Fame in 2001.

Harvey was chairman of the family-owned business with interests in farming and agricultural production supplies, real estate, financial institutions and insurance. He was also founder of The Little Bank, which has offices in Kinston, Goldsboro, La Grange, Greenville, New Bern and Jacksonville.

A celebration of Harvey's life will be held Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Kinston County Club.

Kinston business leader Felix Harvey III has died.

Harvey Enterprises said the 93 year old passed away at his home this morning.

Harvey was chairman of the company, which is a family-owned conglomerate that has interests in farming and agricultural production supplies, real estate, financial institutions and insurance. He was also founder of the Little Bank, which has offices in Kinston, Goldsboro, LaGrange, Greenville, New Bern and Jacksonville.

Harvey was instrumental to bringing the Global Transpark to Kinston and was inducted into the North Carolina Business Hall of Fame in 2001.

His funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
