Burglary Suspect Arrested

Goldsboro Police say they arrested 34-year-old Montrail Davis of Beal St., Goldsboro after a short chase Friday.

Detectives say K-9 Officer Jason Erkes heard the sound of breaking glass while he was conducting a search and found Davis fleeing 1112 E. Beech St. Police say Erkes chased Davis, and he was arrested. The property taken from 1112 E. Beech St. was returned to the owner.

Davis faces a second degree burglary charge, along with a trespassing charge after the incident. He's also charged with damage to property after police say he damaged the security fence at 1108 E. Beech St.

His bond was set at $15,000.

    I'm with you NAACP? FYI. The officer is white though so maybe NAACP hasnt figured that out yet. lol!

    I wonder where the NAACP is on this one? No advancement of colored people here. I guess they only want to 'help' when there is a white person involved.

    I love that the bond was only $15,000 for a crime like this. You'd get $150,000 for drugs! How backwards is this system?!
