Deputies say two burglars that stole from a neighbor, and a car lot are caught after a Sheriff's deputy recognized one from surveillance video
According to a release from the Pitt County Sheriff's Office, Jason Spencer and Christopher Harris faces multiple charges following two burglaries. An employee big boy's auto in Grimesland called police when he noticed money missing from the register and the office was vandalized.
Deputy B. Roberts recognized Spencer from surveillance video at the store. When going to question Spencer, deputies spotted him near a van, with Harris. After searching the van, deputies found firearms, power tools and a bow and arrow that Spencer admitted he and Harris stole from a neighbor. A 51-inch TV was also found hidden on the property.
Both are being held at the Pitt county detention center. Spencer under a $80,000 secured bond and Harris under a $90,000 secured bond.
