Bryant Kittrell Not Seeking Re-Election On Greenville City Council

Reports indicate Bryant Kittrell will not seek re-election on the Greenville City Council.

He is the current Mayor Pro-Tem. The next election for his seat is in November, when Greenville's municipal election is held.

Kittrell told the Daily Reflector this week his name will not be on the ballot.

Kittrell is a partner in a real estate firm in Greenville and serves on a number of boards.

The smug pig-in-slop has made his development profits, slicing this town up like a pie. A lack of city planning can result in: gang violence, unsafe driving conditions, code violations, pedestrian collisions, flooding, fires, school segregation. Guess what's going on in Greenville? Look at him. Developers are the problem. Good riddance to this corrupt pig in slop.

G'Vegas will never achieve the dream of a "downtown" like Chapel Hill/Carborro.

Why is so much money spent on revitalization of downtown Greenville when no one goes downtown period, except to Greenville Utilities Commission or to the courthouse?

No one on the current council should be re-elected- just read back through the last 6 months on WITN if you need a reminder why.

How much do you want to bet Jon Day or Chip Little runs for the seat? I've never seen so many roads with no accessibility or bike lanes, among sprawling developments of trophy-wife stores. What a silly place.

And so the anti-growth crowd is better? Not in my opinion. Calvin and Marion represent nobody but the anti-growth NIMBY crowd. Cities cannot be sustained only on greenspace and Whole Food stores. I didn't like the overly pro-development bent of Council from years ago but Calvin and Marion are just the opposite extreme. Neither extreme benefits Greenville. At least Kittrell has some sense and doesn't manage to say chronically stupid things or pull expensive and embarassing stunts at taxpayers' expense. Where are sensible citizens willing to lead? I've had it with extremists and morons.
