A cold front will sweep across eastern North Carolina by early Saturday. The front will be followed by breezy and much cooler conditions for Saturday and Sunday. Highs in the 80s Friday will be replaced with upper 60s to lower 70s Saturday and lower 60s for Sunday afternoon. The Outer Banks will see temperatures about 7 to 10 degrees cooler than inland locations. Winds will blow from the northeast around 7 to 15 mph through the weekend. Some clouds will move into the area Saturday but little if any rain is expected for the next few days.
