Boil Water Alert For Parts Of Pamlico County

A water leak across the Intracoastal Waterway is prompting a boil water alert for some Pamlico County residents.

Customers on Goose Creek Island, including Hobucken and Lowland are being told to boil all water for human consumption for one minute. An alternative is to use bottled water.

The Pamlico County Water System says it doesn't yet know how long the repair will take.

Not to mention when you boil it, tons of white stuff that feels like lead dust is in it. I don't know how we ever survive here.
