Boil Water Advisory Lifted For Some Carteret County Residents

UPDATE: The boil water notice for customers on the North River-Mill Creek water system along Highway 101 in Carteret County has been cancelled.

Low water pressure and outages have prompted a boil water advisory for people on the North River/Mill Creek water system in Carteret County.

The problem is due to them connecting a new booster pump to the system.

The area includes Highway 101 from 400 to 1650 block, Austin Road, Kysers Cove, Riverside Drive. Lynn Court, Copeland Road, Grady Dale Road, Taylor Farm Road, McDaniel Road, Russell Street, Kevin Court, Jonathan Court, Lindsey Court, Windingwoods Way, Wild Magnolia Drive, and Family Lane.

Customers in those areas should boil all tap water used for human consumption, including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and for food preparation for at least one minute, or use bottled water.

    Why don't you just offer to install a boiling device for all water leading into homes in the area and be done with it.
