Boil Water Advisory For Atlantic Beach

Residents of Atlantic Beach are being told to boil all water used for human consumption after a contractor broke a water line Monday.

The town says the break has caused low or no pressure in water lines. The boil water advisory is a precaution because bacteria could get into the water system.

Residents should vigorously boil water for one minute or use bottled water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth or making ice.

There is no word yet on how long the advisory will last.
