With all the foolishness that is going on in Washington, D.C. with out politicians, out military continues to shed their blood and lay down their lives to defend this nation from those who would seek to destroy us. God bless our military and their family members who equally share the pain of service to our country. Rest in peace and Semper Fi.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of this man as they go through this difficult time. It's sad to see that this newborn baby will never get the opportunity to meet his or her own father. Thank you for your service to this nation in fighting for our freedom. Another thing, I really feel like it needs to be time to end the war here soon. This is just messing America up financially and emotionally and it's taking away more lives. That saying thank you and RIP SSgt Lucas!

My family, our country and our world are better off for your sacrifce. I mourn for those left behind. They are the ones who suffer. I pray for the children, wife, and parents, that they will know the comfort of our Father in Heaven.

"My family, our country and our world are better off for your sacrifce." Really? Talk about hyperbole. Our country is more vulnerable today, than before the occupation of the Afghanistan. Our country is broke, and the terrorists population in increasing everyday we are over there. Our country, and your family by default, is not safer by any margin. The most tragic thing about his death is that it will be in VAIN because the jingoistic flag wavers in this country will be never admit that we are losing and cannot win, and insist that his death be avenged and continue the "good fight." We got Hussein and bin Laden. Let's call it quits and come home and focus on US for a change. Those soldiers are not protecting you from anything when they are on another continent; they would be better off here protecting communities from the real threat: gangs.
