A man is out of jail after getting arrested for leading lawmen on a high speed chase, but he might have trouble getting around. His car was impounded under the new law called "run and you're done."
Forty-seven-year-old David Miller was arrested in Bertie county for running from authorities. The Roanoke-Chowan News Herald says speeds reached 70 miles as troopers chased miller Friday when he didn't stop for a drivers license checkpoint in Connarista.
Miller's charges include felony speed to elude arrest, and a new state law means his vehicle gets confiscated by law enforcement. Miller is also charged with DWI.
